一个女人有一晚没回家睡
隔天她跟老公说她睡在一个女性朋友那边
她老公打电话给她最好的10个朋友，没有一个知道这件事！

一个男人有一晚没回家睡
隔天他跟老婆说他睡在一个兄弟那边
她老婆打电话给他最好的10个朋友，有8个好兄弟确定他老公睡在他们家……
还有2个说……
他老公还在他那儿！

Friendship Between Men and Women
A woman didn't come home one night.
The next day she told her husband that she had slept over at a girlfriend's house.
The man called his wife's 10 best friends. None of them knew anything about it.
A man didn't come home one night.
The next day he told his wife that he had slept over at a buddy's house.
The woman called her husband's 10 best friends, eight of them confirmed that he had slept over, and two claimed that ….
he was still there!

今日是好日

　　去年年中收到荣坤传给中四同学们的一则小故事，挺有意思，转载于此，与网友共享之：

Today is a Beautiful Day

A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: 'I am blind, please help.' There were only a few coins in the hat.

A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.

Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, 'Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?'

The man said, 'I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way.' What he had written was: 'Today is a beautiful day and I cannot see it.'

Do you think the first sign and the second sign were saying the same thing?

Of course both signs told people the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people they were so lucky that they were not blind. Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?

Moral of the Story: Be thankful for what you have. Be creative. Be innovative. Think differently and positively.

Invite others towards good with wisdom. Live life with no excuse and love with no regrets. When life gives you a 100 reasons to cry, show life that you have 1000 reasons to smile. Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear. Keep the faith and drop the fear.


Great men say, 'Life has to be an incessant process of repair and reconstruction, of discarding evil and developing goodness.... In the journey of life, if you want to travel without fear, you must have the ticket of a good conscience.'

The most beautiful thing is to see a person smiling...
And even more beautiful is, knowing that you are the reason behind it!!!

魔镜

　　我上一篇博文《穷得只剩下钱》提到陈水扁，这里转载去年年底伟明传给我的一则关于陈水扁的笑话，博君一笑：

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall

Shrek, Angelina Jolie and Bill Gates were all having lunch together.

Shrek said, 'I have always thought that I'm the strongest man in the world, but how can I be sure?'

Bill Gates said, 'I'm pretty sure I'm the wealthiest man alive, but I've never had it confirmed.'

Angelina Jolie agreed. 'I'm told I'm the most gorgeous of them all, but sometimes I wonder.'

They all decided that the best way to find out if their beliefs were true was to ask the famed talking "mirror, mirror on the wall" to confirm for them whether Shrek was the strongest, Angelina Jolie was the most gorgeous. They agreed to meet again the next day for lunch to discuss their findings.

The next day Shrek walked up with a smile. 'Well, it's true. The mirror told me that I am the strongest man in the world.'

Angelina said for sure she was the most gorgeous.

Bill Gates came in and asked, "Who the hell is Chen Sui-Bien?"

穷得只剩下钱

　　前晚在黄明德的博客（SAM）读到这篇博文《最夯的新年贺词》（夯，汉语拼音hāng，在此应该是“猛”的意思，可参考逸名网在线字典之“夯”字资料大全），真教人拍案叫绝！

　　明德说今年最夯的新年贺词是“穷得只剩下钱”，原来那是日前陈致中前往探视在牢里的老爸陈水扁时，有人托他转交给陈水扁的一本书的书名。于是我上网搜索这件事的报道，结果找到《中国时报》的一篇社论《何只扁家“穷得只剩下钱”》，也在《基督日报》网页找到这本书的简介：《穷得只剩下钱》。

　　我没读过《穷得只剩下钱》，但从社论和简介得知这本书讲的是人生的两条路：一条是追求衣食住行、功名富贵的“生活之路”，另一条是追求平安喜乐、永恒价值的“生命之路”。如果人生只是在生活之路上丰衣足食、名成利就，而在生命之路上却是不安不乐、价值虚无的话，那就真是“穷得只剩下钱”了。

　　送《穷得只剩下钱》给陈水扁，而且还是经过他儿子的手送给他，这真是绝妙的讽刺，大快人心！

　　但正如社论所言，生活富裕但生命贫穷的，又何只陈水扁一家人。美国所引起的全球金融海啸，归根结底，还不是那些年薪超过百万、千万美元的公司总裁，被利欲熏心而制造出来的泡沫经济最终破灭的结果吗？又有多少人为了大汽车、大房子拼命赚钱，而忽略了身边的家人呢？

　　陈水扁在这件事上是处于被动的角色，但《穷得只剩下钱》这本书会突然销售量激增，却要拜陈水扁所赐。如果人们因为这件事而引起对这本书的瞩目，进而认真思考和反省自己的生活与生命之路，那陈水扁作为一个活生生的反面教材，还是有他积极正面的意义啊！

　　但愿我们不再“穷得只剩下钱”，而是“富得不只有钱”！

2008年回顾

　　2008年过去了！

　　2008年，我在Life Study Blog上总共发表了39篇文章，平均每个月3篇文章；文章总字数达32,549字，平均每篇文章835字。

　　2008年，我在2月、3月、7月陆续创建了“生命论语”、“生命圣经”、“人文资源”三个博客。

　　生命论语只是把发表在Life Study Blog上的《〈论语〉中的仁道》系列文章转载上去，至今还没有进一步发表关于《论语》的文章，主要原因是自己已经中断研究生的学习，不再把精力放在系统性地深入研究《论语》的各家注释了。

　　中断研究生学习后，我把注意力转移到阅读关于耶稣和基督信仰的书，其中阅读Lee Strobel的几本书，促使我写了《耶稣受难节》和《复活节》两篇文章，于是创建了生命圣经。之后，一直到12月才添加一篇关于《圣诞节》的文章。

　　人文资源则是为了方便收集一些文章而设，其中包括自己和师友在报章上刊登的文章，还有自己文章中所参考的资料。

　　2008年也看到更多朋友的博客，包括佳丽的“生活小事”，贻德的“旅人、足迹、心情”、“心之歌”，裕生的“知其不可而为之”，文姬的“我的天空”，美萍的“文化”、“浮萍”。

　　2009年会是什么光景，我无法预知，但我坚信上个星期日新造教会高级牧师Pastor Prince所宣示的：

The Year 2009 is the Acceptable Year of the Lord, the most blessed time when salvation and the free favors of God profusely abound!

　　就以此作为2009年的展望吧！
