曾经给靖邦、靖恒出过一道英文谜题：“Which is the longest word in English?”
两个孩子兴致勃勃地提出好一些英文单词，都没猜中。最后我揭晓答案：“The longest word is ‘smiles’ because there is a mile between the first ‘s’ and the last ‘s’ of the word”。
前几天，两个孩子倒过来让我猜一道他们自己想出来的英文谜题：“Which is the heaviest word in English?”
我思前想后，只提出一个“pound-cake”，但其实这是一个双字词。在我举白旗投降后，靖邦开心地揭晓答案：“The heaviest word is ‘wonton’ because it is pronounced as ‘one ton’”。
